What you need to know when you book with us.

Check-in & Pickup

Alley Cats Hotel is open to incoming and departing guests by appointment only Monday to Sunday, between 8:30AM and 11:30AM or between 4:30PM and 7:30PM.

We require a set appointment time to ensure we will be completely available to give you and your fur baby the one-on-one attention needed during this process.

Terms and Conditions of Reservations

  • To secure a reservation a 50% deposit is required within 48 hours of making your reservation request. Both arrival and departure times must also be in place and confirmed to avoid scheduling conflicts with other guests.
  • The remaining balance must be paid at time of check out. If someone else is picking up your cat(s), be sure to pre-pay your balance before the check out appointment.
  • Arrivals and departures are strictly by appointment between 9:00AM and 1:30PM or between 4:30PM and 7:00PM.
  • If you are not able to keep to your set appointment please advise us as soon as possible.
  • All cat guests must arrive in a secure carrier or leash.
  • All cat guests must have the claws trimmed before arrival.
  • Corded devices are no longer accepted, such as feeders, water fountains, cameras, etc. Battery powered devices may be accepted but the staff is not responsible for charging these.
  • Vaccines and fleas treatment must be up to date. For the safety of our cat guests we reserve the right to refuse guests who have not provided proof of vaccinations prior to checking in at Alley Cats.

Required Vaccines & Immunizations

Please email us the immunization records for each cat guest, or have your vet clinic email them to us. Each cat registering to stay at Alley Cats Hotel must be vaccinated against:

  • FVRCP (Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus and Panleukopenia)
  • FeLV (Feline Leukaemia)
  • Fleas (required for all cats)
  • Rabies (required for outdoor cats)

We require all cat guests over the age of six months to be spayed or neutered.
Vaccines need to be completed a minimum of one week prior to arrival to ensure your cat is not experiencing side effects. If your cat is allergic to vaccines, please call us for further instructions.

Medication and Medical Conditions

Unfortunately, we do not accept diabetic cats or any cats that require injectable medications.

Emergencies

Although we do not anticipate any problems, we prefer to take a proactive approach and reserve the right to seek advice and necessary medical treatment, at our discretion, with all costs to be borne by the client.

We will make every effort to consult with your pet’s own veterinarian first, and we have an on-call veterinarian available when required.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

We realize that life happens and sometimes plans need to be changed. Should you need to cancel or change your confirmed dates, please contact us regarding the adjustments.

At the time of booking your reservation, a 50% deposit was secured. To receive a full refund of that deposit the reservation must be cancelled 7 days prior to the actual reservation date you’ve booked. Deposit refunds are issued in the same fashion as they were received whether by credit card, debit or e-Transfer.

With less than 7 days notice, the deposit is not refunded but kept on your account for a future booking at Alley Cats Hotel.
If you are simply rescheduling the visit to new dates, then your deposit will be applied to the new dates.

With less than 2 days notice, the deposit is not refunded.

Gratuities & Penalties

Please note that gratuities are suggested at the time of checkout and these proceeds are 100% given to our staff personnel.

A penalty of 50% daily rate will be charged at check out in case of arriving at non-operational hours (earlier than 8AM or later than 8PM), or for arriving 1 or more days earlier without notifying us with 2 days in advance minimum.

Our Privacy Policy

We adhere to strict privacy and confidentiality standards and we do not share or sell your contact information.

When making a reservation with Alley Cats Hotel it is necessary to have information to identify you, contact you and to process reservation requests. This information usually includes your name, address, phone number and email address. It may also include, if you wish, your preferences such as the type of room to be booked. We also like to hear of any additional services your pet requires or prefers along with details of your pet’s history. All you information will be kept safe and confidential.
